I took Thomas for his 4 month appointment today.  He was asleep, so I had to wake him up to get weighed.  He weighed 14 pounds, 10 ounces.  That was the 50th percentile.  His length was 27 inches, which was 90th percentile.  The doctor said he is hitting all of his milestones- rolling over, etc.  He did get one shot and an oral vaccine.  At two months, he didn’t even flinch when he had his shots.  Well, today he did NOT like getting his shot.  He screwed up his face, turned beet red and started screaming.

We had lots of questions for the doctor, especially about feeding him solids.  She gave us the go-ahead to start him on rice cereal.  I’m so excited!  I hope to start tomorrow night at dinner.  I will definitely get some photos.  After a few days, we can start adding a new food every 3-4 days.  I would really like to make my own baby food.  My mom did that for me, and I think it will be better for him than the jarred variety.
