adventures with baby

I made it to California!  I will post more about the actual travel when I get home.  For now, I want to let you know about this website I found.  I wanted to travel as cheaply as possible, so I only bought one airplane ticket.  My baby is only 3 months old, so he can sit in my lap.  I did not want to pay for extra luggage, plus I was traveling without any help, so I did not bring the car seat or stroller.  I needed to find a rental company.  I found The Traveling Baby Company.  The website is really easy to use.  They have rentals available in several areas, and each city gets its own webpage.  They have slightly different products available, and the prices do vary from city to city.  From the time when I first found the website to when I actually placed my order, the website had a complete overhaul.  It has cuter graphics, plus it has specific items to order.  There is a picture of each item, so you know exactly what you’re ordering.  I ordered a toddler seat, instead of the infant seat.  I chose the Britax Marathon.  I know it is suitable for infants as small as 8 pounds, but I’ve never used this one before.  It has the LATCH system, as does my dad’s car, so it was very easy to install.  I also ordered a Combi stroller that folds up compactly.  The items were delivered on time to my dad’s house, and will be picked up after I leave.  The delivery man said that either item could be exchanged if there was a problem.  There were many other items to rent.  They have everything from baby food to bumbo seats.  I give this website 5 smilies out of 5.
